Many people asked me how to do website promotion (free of charge is better). So I jot a list of actions you can take to do website promotion and detail of each item will be posted in the future.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Let your target customers find your website by themselves though search engines.

Forum

Put links, website name and a short description in your signature or even in the post.

Web Directory

Submit link of your website or article in your site to web directories. There are many free web directories but you should choose them wisely. Some free web directories may harm your website ranking! You should choose some web directories which have a high page rank (PR 3 or above is ok too). Moreover, category of those web directories is also important. Choose web directories which have is highly related to your website is better.

Email / Newsletter

Get an email list of potential clients is important. Then you can send them some interesting articles or newsletter to drive them to your website.

Link Exchange

Exchange your link with sites which are relevant to your website. Remember, high page rank website is more preferable!

Develop Application in Facebook

It may be quite difficult for you if you are not a programmer. But, undoubtedly, it can be an effective website promotion method.

Blogging

Setup a blog and publish regularly. If the posts are interesting, it can attract many people to your website.
